Our current magazine is a joint product. It is based on the results of an exploratory study carried out by Stadt als Campus e.V. on the interaction between the creative industries and urban development. The study has brought pupils, students, cultural and creative professionals as well as cultural and sociocultural institutions into contact with local authorities. Together, approaches for an activating, cooperative and thus "creative" urban and regional development were identified, worked out and tested.

The findings were encouraging. At the 13th Federal Congress on Nationale Stadtentwicklungspolitk (National Urban Development Policy) in September 2019 in Stuttgart, they met with lively interest from cities and municipalities, the real estate and housing industry, and in particular from the promotion of culture and business development.

The result was the idea for the networking initiative "Gemeinsam für das Quartier" (Together for the neighbourhood) together with the German Association for Housing, Urban Development and Regional Planning - as well as the idea for this magazine.

The development of the magazine and the preliminary exploratory study were funded by Deutschen Verband für Wohnungswesen, Städtebau und Raumordnung e.V. (the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Urban Affairs as part of the national urban development policy). The magazine can be ordered free of charge from the publisher.

Unser aktuelles Magazin ist ein Gemeinschaftsprodukt. Es basiert auf Ergebnissen einer von Stadt als Campus e.V. durchgeführten explorativen Studie zum Zusammenspiel von Kreativwirtschaft und Stadtentwicklung. Die Studie hat Schülerinnen und Schüler, Studierende, Kultur- und Kreativschaffende sowie kulturelle und soziokulturelle Einrichtungen mit Gebietskörperschaften ins Gespräch gebracht. Gemeinsam wurden Handlungsansätze für eine aktivierende, kooperative, mithin "kreative" Stadt- und Regionalentwicklung identifiziert, herausgearbeitet und erprobt.

Die Erkenntnisse waren ermutigend. Sie stießen beim 13. Bundeskongress Nationale Stadtentwicklungspolitk im September 2019 in Stuttgart auf reges Interesse bei Städten und Gemeinden, bei der Immobilien- und Wohnungswirtschaft, sowie insbesondere auch bei der Kulturförderung und bei der Wirtschaftsförderung.

Im Ergebnis entstand die Idee zur Vernetzungsinitiative "Gemeinsam für das Quartier" zusammen mit dem Deutschen Verband für Wohnungswesen, Städtebau und Raumordnung e.V. - sowie die Idee zu diesem Magazin.

Die Entwicklung des Magazins und die vorlaufende explorative Studie wurden im Rahmen der Nationalen Stadtentwicklungspolitik durch das Bundesministerium des Innern, für Bau und Heimat gefördert. Das Magazin kann beim Herausgeber kostenlos bestellt werden.
